1 egg
water
1 pkg pork or beef sausage
4 cups water
3 potatoes
1 onion
3 cups cream or Half & Half
1 can chicken broth
2 Tbsp chicken base
parsley
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook pork sausage, cool, peel skin and cut into small pieces. meanwhile mix the flour, egg and water to make a stiff dough. In a soup kettle add 4 cups water, potatoes and onions; cook about 15 minutes. Then add cream or Half & Half, chicken broth, chicken base, parsley, knoepfla dough cut into small pieces, and sausage pieces. Simmer about 20 minutes until dough and potatoes are cooked through.

I find it easy to cut the dough into small pieces with a pair of kitchen scissors and let them fall right into the pot.
