Slice desired amount of green tomatoes--should be sliced thin (1/8" to 1/4"). Sprinkle with salt, pepper and small amount of brown sugar. Roll in corn meal.

Fry in hot bacon drippings until golden brown on both sides.

Serve hot.

Optional: Add flour and milk to drippings to make a gravy. Salt and pepper to taste and serve over tomatoes.
