1 cup flour,
1/2 cup butter or margarine,
1/2 cup nuts (optional),
8 oz. cream cheese, soft,
1 cup powdered sugar,
8 oz. whipped topping (thawed),
1 small pkg. of chocolate instant pudding,
1 small pkg. of vanilla instant pudding,
3 cups milk.

CRUST: mix flour, butter and nuts until crumbly. Press into a 9 x 13 glass dish. Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes; cool.

FILLING: Beat the powdered sugar and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Fold in the whipped topping and spread half of it over the cooled crust. Mix together the puddings and the milk and spread over the cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate for 10 minutes until set, then layer the remaining cream cheese mixture on top, and sprinkle with nuts.

In the days when we had to endure sitting across from Robert Redford at the 4th of July parades, and watching Jeremiah Johnson every time it came on tv, the only thing that made those times sweeter, was this yummy dessert. Cheers mom!
