Apple Pudding:
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
2 cups grated apple, mac is the best!

Rum Sauce:
In top of double boiler combine:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light cream
Stir constantly until slightly thickened, about 10-15 minutes. Add a dash of nutmeg.
Add 1 tsp. of vanilla
Add 2 or 3 tsps. of rum flavor.
Serve warm.

Sift together flour,soda,spices and salt. Mix butter with sugar and beat until very light and fluffy. Add unbeaten egg
and mix well. Add the grated apple. Add the flour mixture stirring just until mixed.
Pour in to greased 8 inch square pan.
Bake in preheated 400º oven for about 25 minutes or until done.
Serve warm with rum sauce.
