1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp salt
2 c. diced apples
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon

topping: 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. walnuts
1 12 oz chocolate chips or chunks
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in order.
Put in greased and floured pan.
Sprinkle topping over cake and bake @ 350 for 40-45 minutes
