2 lbs. ground beef
1 2/3 c. crushed soda crackers (about 1 sleeve)
1/2 c. ketchup
2 eggs
2 T. grated onion
2 T. chopped parsley
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. marjoram
1 can mushroom soup
1 cup milk
2 T. butter
1 T. sherry
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 (4-oz.) can sliced mushrooms, optional

Directions:

Combine ground beef, cracker crumbs, catsup, eggs, onion and seasonings. Shape into 8 oval patties. Place in shallow baking dish. Heat soup with milk, butter, sherry and garlic salt. Pour over meat patties. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes. Add mushrooms and bake 10 minutes longer.
Alternative: Shape meat mixture into 1 inch balls and brown in skillet in 2 T. oil. Drain. Add sauce to skillet. Stir until heated. Bake for 30 minutes.
