1 C shortening 2 C sugar 4 eggs 2 C ripe bananas, mashed (6 small) 2 t lemon juice 2 C sifted flour 2 C whole wheat flour 2 T baking powder 1 t salt 2 C nuts
Heat oven to 350*. Cream shortening and sugar together. Beat eggs until light and add. Add lemon juice to mashed bananas and blend with creamed mix. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add whole wheat flour and mix quickly with banana mix. Add nuts. Bake in greased loaf pans. Bake for 50 minutes.
