1/2c. butter flavored shortening
1c. light brown sugar
1tsp. milk
1tsp. vanilla
1/2c. peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/3c. flour
1tsp. baking soda
1/2tsp. salt
sugar for rolling in
1 bag choc. stars

Directions:
Directions:
heat oven to 350*, combine shortening, b.sugar,milk and vanilla in a bowl. beat in p.b. beat at medium speed until well blended,then beat in egg. combine flour,salt and baking soda. then add to mix..just until blended. pinch off dough and roll into 1in. balls, roll in sugar and place about a inch apart on an ungreased sheet. Bake 10-13 min. or until just starting to color. remove from oven and quickly place a star into top of each cookie. remove to wire rack and let cool completely.
