1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. rich milk
5 3/4 c. flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
10 cardamom seeds, crushed

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add egg, then the milk. Lastly, add the dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Turn dough out on a floured board. Shape into small buns and bake about 10 minutes.

You may, when done, cut each roll in half & return to oven.
Bake in a slow oven until brown.
