2 large potatoes cubed
1 large onion diced
1&1/3 sleeves saltine crackers lightly crumbled
1 stick butter
3 c water
20 oz half & half

Cover the bottom of a dutch oven with the bacon strips. Put fish strips on top of bacon then put in potatoes, salt & pepper lightly, then onions on next, then put crumbled crackers on top and put butter slices on top of crackers. Pour water over mixture and cook on medium heat until liquid is absorbed (about 30 minutes). Stir in half & half and simmer until heated. Do not boil. Correct seasonings.
