1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. of vanilla
11 oz. chopped dates
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven at 375 .
Cream butter, and sugar and then add eggs. Blend.
Add remaining ingredients and blend. Add mixture to a square baking dish. Cook on middle rack and bake for approximately 25 minutes or until golden.

(Recipe can be doubled. Use a 3/4" deep cookie sheet - ungreased. Cool and cut into squares. Roll in confectioner sugar.
