11/2 lbs. fresh asparagus
2 Tbsp.chopped fresh herbs or Tsp.dried herbs -if desired
1-2 cloves sliced garlic
2-3 Tbsp.extra virgin olive oil
Kosher salt & freshly ground black pepper
1 Tbsp.balsamic vinegar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. 'Heat a heavy shallow baking pan in oven for 5 minutes.
While pan is heating,toss vegetables,salt & pepper.
Spread the mix into the hot pan,in a single layer.
Roast 10-12 minutes,stir once or twice, add balsamic vinegar in last 1-2 minutes of roasting.
Transfer to serving dish,sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
