1/3 cup butter/margarine
1 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
teaspoon salt
cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Turn oven to 350. Grease the baking pan with some shortening.
Measure all ingredients into large mixing bowl.
Pour batter into the pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Frost if desired.
