1/3 cup of shortening
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour or cake flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

Heat oven to 350º. Grease 15 muffin cups (2 3/4 inches in diameter). Mix thoroughly shortening, 1/2 cup sugar, and the egg. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg alternately with milk.

Fill muffins cups 2/3 of a cup full. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Immediately after baking, roll puffs in melted butter, then in cinnamon- sugar mixture. Serve hot.
