Shortcake:
1/2 C Sugar
1 1/2 T Butter (room temperature)
1/2 C Milk
1 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 1/2 C fresh Cranberries, cut in half
Sauce:

1/2 C White Sugar
1/2 C Butter
1/2 C Brown Sugar
1 C Cream (whipping cream)

Directions:
Directions:
Shortcake: Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Cut in butter the same as you would for a pie crust. Add milk then add cranberries. Bake in 8 x 8 pan at 350 for 1/2 hr. Sauce: Cook all ingredients until a little thick on medium to low heat. Store unused cake and sauce in frig.
