BASE: 1 C flour 2TB Icing Sugar 1/2 C butter pat into 8x8 square pan TOPPING: 4 TB butter 1/2 C brown sugar 1/2 C heavy Cream 1 tsp almond essence
Put topping ingredients (less almond flavor) in saucepan and let come to boil - 3mins. then add flavoring. Pour topping over base, then sprinkle with lightly toasted sliced almonds Bake 350º - 15-20 mins. - do not overbake
