2 pounds beef chuck
1/4 cup flour
2-1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, diced
1/2 cup salad oil
1 can beer
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups beef bouillon
1/2 teaspoon thyme
2 bay leaves
2 peeled potatoes, sliced
2 teaspoons parsley, chopped
carrots, if desired

Directions:

Cut beef chuck into one-inch cubes. Coat cubes in flour, salt and pepper. Saute onion and garlic in salad oil in a dutchoven. Add beef and brown. Add remaining ingredients except potatoes and bring to a boil. Add potatoes. Bake in a preheated oven 4-5 hours at 300º. One-half hour before serving a package of frozen peas maybe added.
