1. Mix butter, eggs, sugar, and almond paste (it sometimes works best to warm your almond paste a little in the microwave... use a low power so you don't cook it!). 2. Add flour and baking powder 3. Mix and pour into 2 greased, floured pie or tart pans (optional -- glaze with a beaten egg) 4. Bake at 325º for 35 minutes.
This is a favorite of all the Dutchies here in California. It's fabulous with a cup of coffee!
