8-10 good skin-on-wieners
3-4 cups mashed potatoes (nothing added)
2 T. butter or margarine
salt and pepper to taste

Optional:
Frozen peas in white sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Slice the wieners lengthwise part of the way through and open up. Be careful that you don't cut through too much. Take 2-3 T. of mashed potatoes and spoon onto the wiener. Dot with butter. Put all of the wieners on a broiler pan or cookie sheet and broil until potatoes are browned. You can eat them that way or serve them with the peas.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This was a dish my Mother made all the time when I was a girl and I continued to make it when I had children. I loved the addition of the peas but some didn't. Another way to make these is with a slice of cheddar cheese down the center and then broiled.
