5 to 6 lbs. apples, sliced
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. corn starch
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
10 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, corn starch, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and water. Cook until thickened. Add salt and lemon juice. Divide equally into 7 quart jars and put in apples slices. Fill up jars. Work out bubbles. Process in hot water bath for 20 minutes. When using for pies, pour into unbaked pie shells and bake.
