1 1/4 - 1 1/2 lbs ground Beef
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
s very small or 1/2 large purple onion finely diced
1 tbsp. Montreal Steak Seasoning
3 tbsp. Olive Oil
2 tbsp butter
3 tbsp. Flour
2-3 cups Beef Broth
1/2 - 3/4 cup red wine (optional)

3-4 Large Sweet Onions Maui, Vidalia or Texas Sweet Sliced
2 tbsp. butter
2-3 tbsp. Olive Oil

Start Onions first - in a non-stick pan Melt butter with Olive Oil. Add sliced Onions and cook over medium High heat for Approximate. 24 minutes or until nice and brown. Add a little more oil during cooking if necessary and after 5 mins of cooking season with salt and pepper.
Combine finely diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, meat, steak seasoning and beef in a bowl and mix with your hands.
divide meat into 4 portions and shape into oval shaped patties the same size.
Heat 3 tbsp. Olive Oil in non-stick skillet, and meat, being careful not to disturb it once it is in the pan. Allow to cook 5-6 minutes on each side. (Meat should get slightly brown). Remove meat from pan and place on a plated - cover with foil to keep warm.
To the drippings in the pan, add 2 tbsp. butter and melt,. Add 3 tbsp. flour and stir to cook for 1-2 minutes. If using Wine add 1/2 the wine to deglaze pan scraping up little brown bits, then start adding broth a little at a time. Using a wire whisk thououghly combine each addition of the broth with the drippings. When gravy has reached desired consistency, add the rest of the red wine and reduce to a simmer. Put meat and any acculiminated juices on the plate back into the pan and keep warm until the onions and potatoes are done.
