1/2 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1 beaten egg 2-1/2 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon baking powder 6 tablespoons cocoa 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup nuts
Combine shortening, sugar and egg. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and vanilla, then add nutmeats. Drop onto cookie sheet about 2 inches apart and bake 10-15 minutes at 350º. Frost with chocolate powdered sugar frosting.
