4 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup shortening, melted
3-1/2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs and sugar until light. Add milk, vanilla and cooled shortening. Add sifted dry ingredients. Mix until smooth. Roll 3/8-inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut with floured cutter. Fry in oil (375º) until brown; turning once. Drain.
