Bars:
1 box fudge cake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 beaten eggs

Topping:
1 c. sugar
5 T. butter or margarine
1/3 c. milk
1 6-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.

Combine all bar ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased
and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 25 - 30 minutes.

Topping: In a saucepan, while cake is baking, combine 1 c.
sugar, 5 T. butter, and 1/3 c. milk. Bring to boil. Remove from
heat and stir in chocolate pieces until they are melted. Pour
hot topping over cherry bars when they are removed from the
oven. Cool; cut into bars.
