2 acorn squash; cut in half; seeded
1/3 pound bulk sausage
1 medium onion, diced
4 slices day-old bread
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Break up sausage meat and fry in medium skillet until nearly done. Drain and discard excess fat. Break up bread. Add bread, onion, salt and water to meat. Mix well and fill squash cavities. Place in baking pan and cover with lid or foil. Bake in preheated oven at 350º until squash pierces easily (about 1 hour). Uncover and bake 15 minutes or until brown.
