1 loaf cinnamon bread
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 Tbls dark corn syrup
2-3 tart apple
6 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
dash of nutmeg
cinnamon
melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cut bread into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Cook brown sugar, corn syrup and butter until well mixed. Peel and slice apples. Pour syrup mixture into bottom of 9x13 dish. Arrange one layer of apple slices over syrup mixture. Place bread over fruit. Mix egg, milk, vanilla and nutmeg. Pour over bread, soaking each slice. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with foil and refrigerate over night. Bake, covered for 45 minutes; uncovered for 5 minutes more. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
