1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter
3 bananas
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 T. milk
2 T. lemon juice
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional

Mix the milk and lemon juice together to make sour milk and add baking soda to that and set aside. Mix all ingredients and add sour milk mixture. Pour into greased loaf pans and bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
