1 1/2 cup self-rising cornmeal
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 medium onion, chopped
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 jalapeño pepper, chopped
1 small can cream-style corn
1/2 tsp salt

Mix all ingredients together well. Bake at 400º for 20 or 30 minutes.
