2 or 3 sweet potatoes
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 stick butter (or margarine), melted
1/2 to 1 lemon sliced in rings

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and cut up sweet potatoes in slices.
Put in boiler and cook until tender (keep stabbing
with fork after boiling about 15 minutes and see if
they are soft but not mushy).
Drain off water.
In baking dish, add sugar, butter, and lemons.
Stir in sweet potatoes.
Bake at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes.

This recipe is from Burma Davis (Phil's mother) and
was always my favorite dish at family gatherings.
I made these sweet potatoes for Hope when we
