1 pkg. lime Jello
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 c. whipped cream
1/2 c. walnuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. hot water
1 c. cottage cheese
1 c. grated pineapple
1/4 c. sugar
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve Jello in 1 cup of hot water. Cool until it begins to thicken. Add all the ingredients and mix well. Pour into salad mold and chill. Serve on lettuce with dressing of whipped cream and mayonnaise. Garnish with maraschino cherries.

This is a recipe from a cookbook of First Lutheran Church of Crystal. It looks like it may have been their first cookbook from, I think, 1958. The picture of the church in the book was just the little Chapel, the beginning of the church where many of us were baptized, married, and some still are members at.
