20 Ritz crackers (rolled out fine)
1/2 c sugar
3/4 c chopped nuts (pecans or peanuts)

3 egg whites, beaten stiff
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Fold the crackers, sugar and nuts into the egg whites, cream of tartar, sugar and vanilla. Bake in a 9 inch pie tin for 20 minutes @ 350º. Let cool. Top with 1/2 pint whipped cream and grated bitter or semi-sweet chocolate. Refrigerate 3-4 hours before serving.
