5 cups unsifted flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
1 pkg dry yeast
2 Tbsp warm water
2 cups buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in the shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add with buttermilk to dry mixture. Mix well. Turn out on lightly floured board, adding more flour if necessary. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut, then dip into melted butter and fold to make pocketbook rolls. Bake at 400º for 15 minutes.
