"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway
This recipe for Chocolate Chip Dip for Teddy Grahams, by Bonnie Davis, is from Our Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
(1) 8 oz. cream cheese 1 stick of real butter (no substitute) 3/4 c. powdered sugar 2 Tablespoons brown sugar 3/4 c. mini chocolate chips (you can use mint if you like) chopped nuts
Soften cream cheese and butter. Mix. Add other ingredients. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Form into a ball. Roll in nuts. I sometimes put it into a bowl and use a spreader. Dip chocolate teddy grahams in it! Great for kids and grownups!
Niece Joanna introduced us to this one and we love it. The Davis clan can polish off a whole bowl of it : )
