1 loaf uncut French bread
1 block cream cheese (7 oz) I use Neuschaftel
1 small can chopped water chestnuts
1 16 oz can spinach, drained
1 box Knorr's dry vegetable soup mix (this is only kind I use)
2-3 tbs onion, chopped fine
1 cup mayonnaise, more or less (I use Kraft Light)

Directions:

Stir all ingredients together (except bread!)
Cover and allow to sit in refrigerator for several hours, for soup vegetables to soften.
Stir again.
Hollow out French bread loaf, fill hollow with dip. Pile pieces of bread on plate around loaf, for dipping. Also good with vegetables, crackers, chips.
