1 tsp olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 lb lean ground beef or chuck
1 med. bell pepper chopped (3/4 cup)
2 tsp bottled minced garlic
1 can (14 1/2 oz) fat free chicken broth (can use bouillon)
2 cups spaghetti sauce from jar or can (I like the Del Monte three cheese or Italian herb)
8 oz elbow macaroni
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Heat olive oil in large deep skillet or Dutch oven that has a lid.
Peel and coarsely chop onion, adding to skillet as you chop.
Add the beef, turn heat to high, and brown, stirring frequently, about five minutes.
Meanwhile, rinse and seed the green pepper. Chop into skillet, stirring.
Stir in garlic.
Add chicken broth, spaghetti sauce and macaroni.
Bring to boil, then reduce heat to medium, continue to cook at moderate boil, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is done (about 10 minutes for al dente, 2 minutes more for softer macaroni). Serve at once, sprinkling each serving with Parmesan cheese
