6 pounds apples/ about 6-7 cups,
2 cups sugar,
1/4 cup flour,
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon,
1/4 tsp nutmeg,
2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Wash,peel and core apples & place in soaking solution such as Fruit Fresh. Combine sugar, flour, cinn. and nutmeg, mix well and stir into apples. Let stand till juices flow, about 30 min. Stir in lemon juice and cook over medium heat till mixture becomes thick. Place in freezer containers or zip bags to freeze or place in pie shell. Yields about 6 pints.

I use a 5 qt dutch oven to cook it in and it is about half full when I am done cooking.
