Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cup flour
2 t. sugar
1 t. salt
1 cup shortening

2 egg yolks with enough milk to make 2/3 cup.
1 1/2 cups corn flakes
5 cups sliced apples
1 cup sugar with 1 t. cinnamon

1 cup powdered sugar
3-4 t. lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening until particles are size of pea. Put two egg yolks in measuring cup and add enough milk to measure scant 2/3 cup. Stir into crumb mixture. Form into a ball. Divide in half. Roll 1/2 out onto wax paper to fit bottom and sides of 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan. Coursely crumble enough corn flakes to measure 1 1/2 cups. Sprinkle over bottom crust. Add 5 cups sliced apples. Sprinkle mixture of 1 cup sugar and 1 t. cinnamon over apples. Roll out remaining dough to fit over top. Pinch sides together. Beat egg white until frothy and gently spread over crust. Bake 30-40 minutes at 350º

While warm drizzle mixture of 1 cup powdered sugar and 3-4 t. lemon juice over top.

Personal Notes:
Note: The dough or crust mixture is a bit sticky to work with. Before I roll the crust out I sprinkle the work surface with a bit of water, then put wax paper down and it won't slide around when you are rolling the crust. When it's the right size, flop the entire crust into the pan and peel off the waxed paper.
