1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 stick melted butter
1 egg
1 cup sugar
6 (or more) apples or peaches
1 tbs lemon juice
6 slices bread

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together melted butter, egg, flour, lemon juice, and sugar; and set aside. Peel and slice apples or peaches and put in 7 X 11" baking dish. Trim crust away [from bread] and cut bread into finger-sized strips. Place strips [of bread] over apples or peaches. Pour butter and sugar mixture over everything. Bake at 350º for about 35 minutes or until browned.
