1 c shortening 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar 2 eggs, separated
1 T cold water 1 t vanilla
2 c flour 1/4 t salt
1 t soda 6 oz chocolate chips
1 c salted Spanish peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. Beat egg whites with brown sugar. Set aside.
2. Mix together shortening, yolks, water vanilla and
dry ingredients. Spread in buttered 9x13 pan.
3. Press chips and peanuts into dough.
4. Spread egg white mixture on top. Bake at 375 º for
25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
