4 cups sugar
3 heaping tbls cocoa
1 small canevaporated milk and enough whole milk to make it soupy.
1/2 tsp salt
lump butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 heaping tbls marshmallow
Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar,cocoa,milk and salt to a soft ball stage.
This will take awhile so be patient and stay with it stirring constantly. (I hated this part but we made it every year)
After it reaches soft ball stage, add a lump of butter(size of an egg) and vanilla. Beat until almost stiff and then add marshmallow.
Finish beating together and pour into a greased 8X8 pan.
Refrigerate until sets. Yum.......

I remember Ma plastering us to a stool and telling us over and over again to keep stirring. It seemed to take forever but oh boy was it worth it.
