1 1/2 lb. Ground Beef
1/2 Onion (chopped)
1 qt Tomatoes
1 can Diced Tomatoes (16 oz.)
2 cans Tomato Paste (6 oz.)
2 T. Oregano
2 T. Basil
2 1/2 T. Sugar
1/2 c. wine (rose, or anything will do).
1 can Mushrooms (4 oz., stems and pieces, drained)
4 Cloves Garlic

Brown meat in a large skillet. Add 1/2 of the basil, 1/2 of the oregano, all the onion and cook until onions are translucent. Add 1 clove garlic and cook a couple of minutes. In a separate pot add tomatoes, the other half of the slices, the remainder of the garlic, sugar, wine and mushrooms. Cover and simmer on low for 30-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

The longer you simmer this the better it is.
