8 cups thinly sliced squash
3 sliced sweet bell peppers
2 cups sliced onions
2 ½ cups sugar
2 cups vinegar
2 teaspoons mustard seed
2 teaspoons celery seed
½ teaspoon dry mustard

Bring all ingredients to a boil. Spoon into jars and seal. Chill 24 hours before eating.

Mamaw was known for her cakes but these pickles were a favorite of mine. She'd keep the jars in the fridge. They are great with a veggie dinner and cornbread.
