1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk, 4 cans (cups) milk, 3 eggs (separated), 1/2 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla, 1 pinch salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk, condensed milk, sugar, salt, and egg yellows in a mixing bowl. Blend thoroughly. Pour in a saucepan and just bring to a slow boil. Turn off heat. Add beaten egg whites and vanilla. Chill for 2 hours. Put in ice cream freezer and follow directions.

There are several variations on this recipe.
This really brings back the memories. Saturday afternoons on the 'picnic grounds'. The little kids had to take turns sitting on the ice cream maker while the bigger kids turned the crank!
