1 c shortening 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla 1 tsp salt 1 c brown sugar, firmly packed 1/2 c granulated sugar 2 1/4 c. sifted all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 c "M&M's" plain 1 c walnuts (optional)
Blend shortning & sugars in large bowl. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Beat in vanilla & eggs. Sift dry ingrediants together; add to sugar mixture blend well. Stir in 1/2 cup of "M&M's". Drop by tablespoon on ungreased baking sheet; decorate tops iwth remaining candy. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Some craking my occur.
