6 oz. lemon jello
2 c. hot water
2 c. gingerale
14 oz. crushed pineapple, drained
1 c. miniature marshmallows
4 bananas, sliced

TOPPING:
1 c. pineapple juice
2 T. flour
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c. sugar

Cool Whip
chopped nuts, maraschino cherries, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Add hot water to jello and stir to dissolve. Add gingerale. When mixture has cooled and is partly thickened, add pineapple, marshmallows and bananas. Put into refrigerator.

To Make Topping: Bring juice, flour, egg and sugar to a boil, stirring constantly. Cool. Add cool whip to cooked mixture and spread on top of jello. Sprinkle nuts or cherries on top, if desired.
