12-18 cups flour
1 pint lard
2 cup brown sugar
4 cup white sugar
1 pint molasses
4 eggs
1 pint coffee
2 tsp baking soda
4 tsp baking powder
4 tsp ginger
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream lard, brown sugar and white sugar until sugar is dissolved.
Mix dry ingredients - flour, baking soda, salt and ginger.
Add in eggs and vanilla to lard mixture.
Mix soda in molasses and add to creamed mixture.
Add coffee alternately with dry ingredients.
Roll out 1/2" and bake 375º for 12-15 minutes or until golden.

This recipe is from Lucy Huggins DeBerry, Louise & Bunny's Great-Grandmother. When I was entering this from Aunt Anita's collection, there was no flour on the recipe card. When I checked back, of course she knew how much right away....it does give me pause to wonder how many other recipes are missing just one ingredient!!!! ;-)
