1 cup oil (Crisco Canola oil)
½ cup cider vinegar (I use a little less)
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp pepper
½ cup sugar


1 can of pinto beans with jalapenos (usually with the Mexican
food) this is sometimes hard to find
1 can black-eyed peas (use frozen, thawed if you can’t find a
can)
1 can of white shoe-peg corn (any white can of corn is ok)
1 chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped celery

Combine sauce ingredients; bring to a boil stirring
constantly.COOL. Combine with remaining ingredients and
marinate in refrigerator overnight. Drain well. Serve with Frito
