1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup jam
1/3 cup sour milk (buttermilk)
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts may be added to the batter

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Add unbeaten eggs, jam and milk. Mix together.
Sift all dry ingredients together and add to the first mixture. Add vanilla. Beat for approximately two minutes and then add the nuts, if desired.
Bake in a 13x9x2 pan at 350.
