1 lb raw peeled large shrimp
4 Tbacon drippings (or olive oil)
2 medium onions, diced
1 large green bell pepper, diced
1 1/2 celery, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 cup canned tomatoes, chopped
3 Tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons Worchestershire Sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon sugar
1 Tablespoon Joe's Stuff or Creole seasoning

Directions:
Saute onions, bell pepper, celery and garlic in oil 15-20 min over med heat.Add tomatoes, sugar, tomato paste, seasonings. Lower heat and simmer for 45 minutes. Add shrimp and cook until all shrimp turn pink. Do not over cook shrimp.
Serve over fluffy hot steamed rice.

This was a popular dish at Nana Emma's house as I was growing up. When I prepare it now, I mellow the pepper flavor by using red or yellow bell peppers.
