4 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. molasses
2 eggs
1 c. milk or water

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together 4 1/2 cups of flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and ginger; set aside. In large bowl blend well molasses and sugar with wooden spoon beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture, milk/water and butter until smooth. Cover, chill for several hours.
Turn out on floured surface, work in more flour until not sticky. Roll out, cut with donut cutter. Fry in large fry pan, both sides, drain on paper towels. Roll in powdered sugar or sugar/cinnamon.
